When I first saw this organizational chart my reaction was, yes, yes, yes - this needs to be in every teacher's classroom, on every parent's fridge, at the front of every math resource or textbook.  This helps to articulate why we learn math, answers the age old question, "When am I ever going to need this?"  The National Numeracy Organization also addresses 4 other areas of numeracy with similarly styled charts.
